Meet Mario, a passionate chef whose culinary journey took flight in the vibrant kitchens of South Florida's popular restaurants. His dedication and talent propelled him to the esteemed position of head chef for the Miami Dolphins, and later, he became the head chef and co-owner of the amazing local favorite Frog and the Monkey.
Despite reaching the pinnacle of his career, Mario decided to hang up his apron for a well-deserved hiatus from the kitchen. He craved time with his young family and explored various business opportunities. But after a few years, the fire within him for culinary artistry and his love for creating incredible dishes reignited.
An opportunity presented itself—to turn one of Mario's long-held dreams into reality. The dream of a cozy deli where he could craft extraordinary sandwiches using top-notch deli meats and cheeses. He scoured Mount Dora, meticulously seeking the perfect spot. Finally, a charming nook in Downtown Mount Dora became available, and with it, the birth of Butcher's Nook Deli Cuts & Deli Shop.
Mario poured his heart and soul into transforming the space, making it inviting and warm. Amid cleaning, painting, some more cleaning, Butcher's Nook Deli Cuts & Deli Shop is nearing its soft launch. Mario is back to doing his thing. This time, creating amazing sandwiches.
